Shannon Brascia has been a 7⁄8 Counselor at LCHS since 2007. Prior to that she was a K6 counselor in San Diego at Johnson Magnet School for Space Exploration and Technology. After 3 years there she relocated to the La Canada area where she grew up to raise her own family.
Mrs. Brascia truly enjoys working in the school district she was a product of herself. LCE, the 7/8 Small Schools, and LCHS will always hold a special place in her heart, and she enjoys seeing her students grow and take advantage of all the programs our schools offer. Growing up in La Canada, Mrs. Brascia was active in girl scouts, choir, YMCA programs, and the 9-12 ASB. Currently she coadvises the 7⁄8 ASB. She loves working in 7⁄8 because it is the perfect place to catch the students fresh out of their joyful elementary days and on the cusp of becoming teenagers with individual passions and goals.
In her spare time, Mrs. Brascia enjoys cooking, baking, scrapbooking, teaching religious ed, camping, and supporting her own kids in their many activities. She lives with her husband, her 2 daughters (8 & 5), her little boy (1 1⁄2), and their Australian Cattledog, Montana.
