I was born in Washington D.C. and spent much of my childhood moving to various countries and states.
By the time that I was in elementary school, I had already lived on the East Coast, in Lebanon, parts of
the UAE, London, Sudan, and Canada. For college, I attended UC Davis where I began as a bio major
and ended up with and English/Nature and Culture double major. I continued at Davis where I earned my
credential and my Masters in education. I began teaching in Sacramento and Elk Grove 10 years ago.
When I moved to Pasadena, I taught first at Baldwin Park High School and then at Hart High School.
When I am not busy grading papers, I love spending time with my husband and two daughters. I grew up
studying martial arts, dancing, and riding horses. Today I continue to stay active by swimming with the
Master's team at the Rose Bowl. In my spare time (which no longer really exists now that I have kids) I
enjoy reading, sewing, knitting, and gardening.
