Hello. I'm Joanne Park­Smith. I was born in New York City and grew up in upstate New York. I attended USC and started teaching at La Canada in 2007. I love teaching and especially love teaching the students at La  Canada 7/8. Currently, I teach 8th Grade U.S. History for Small School 4 and I also am the co-­advisor to La  Canada 7/8's ASB. 

Students are using Chromebooks in my classroom on a daily basis and I've been using many of the Google Apps for Education (GAFE) tools to help make history more interactive. I'm looking forward to a year of meaningful activities and experiences!
